In the early hours of Thursday, Iranโs military announced that it had carried out coordinated drone strikes across the Gulf, targeting defense installations in Qatar, Kuwait, and Bahrain.
According to Al Jazeera, one of the strikes hit an early warning satellite antenna site in Qatar. Residents received a public safety alert at 3:30 am, warning of an elevated security threat. Within minutes, authorities issued a follow-up notice at 3:39 am, confirming that the threat had been neutralized.
Iranโs military further claimed responsibility for attacks on a Patriot missile system in Kuwait and U.S. military fuel tanks in Bahrain. Officials stated that various types of drones were deployed in the operation.
Regional observers note that the strikes mark a sharp escalation in tensions, with Gulf states and international partners closely monitoring developments.
